City Walk | Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo Tour


This is a 3-hour tour that begins with a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge, an icon of New York City for over 125 years, with spectacular views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The tour then moves on to a stroll of Brooklyn Heights, America’s and New York City’s first suburb. The tour then explores the neighborhood DUMBO before ending at the Fulton Ferry landing. This tour focuses on the middle of Central Park, starting in front of the beautiful American Museum of Natural History. From there enter the park and explore, seeing everything from a castle to the wild-looking Ramble. See an Ancient Egyptian obelisk and the place where Stuart Little raced his sailboat in the E.B. White children’s classic. Don’t forget to bring along your camera. There will be many wonderful photo opportunities throughout. This tour takes place Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 10am.

Performance | Called to Account: The Case Against Blair and Bush


An evening inspired by the London production of the Tricycle’s play that famously put Tony Blair on trial for crimes against humanity in response to the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The arguments and testimony gathered, edited into a play by Richard Norton-Taylor, examine the criminal implications of the British Government's decision to use force against Iraq, and allow the audience to decide whether an indictment in this case is proven. This event will present excerpts of a hybrid version, placing George W. Bush on the stand, based on excerpts from Dianne Feinstein’s CIA Torture Report (2014), directed by Columbia University alumna Ashley Kelly Tata.

In 1984, Richard Fung made his first documentary, Orientations: Lesbian and Gay Asians. He is currently in postproduction on a long-form film that reengages with seven of the 15 original participants three decades later. In this talk, clips from the documentary-in-progress will anchor reflections on transformations, unresolved questions and new urgencies for queer and trans identities and politics from the perspective of pan-Asian Canadian subjects.
