Reviews from our members:
The Riverside Symphony musicians are really excellent. In addition, the puppets were delightful making all the adults feel like kids again. The actual children in the audience were extremely well-behaved. That in itself shows the success of the program. A very entertaining afternoon.
L. B., New York

The puppetry for Carnival of the Animals was grossly disappointing. The puppets themselves were not at all "exquisite" as advertised. Instead, the puppets and puppetry would have been best for three year olds. The only reason to say that "No children under the age of 9" should attend was that the program was so very long. With puppetry, the Stravinsky piece was deadly long. Luckily, the music was superbly performed. And besides the great instrumentalists, I must say that the moderator's character-voices were excellent.
L. N., Brooklyn Heights, NY

Beautiful performance by the musicians of Riverside Symphony Orchestra.

Puppeteers were excellent. Thank you

This event was really geared for families w/kids of which there were several in tow. Including a little girl seated to my right who fidgeted and talked throughout the entire show. Riverside Symphony was great but they were a sideline to the shoddy puppetry part of event. Poorly designed puppets with full frontal of two people ineptly manipulating them, was disappointing to say the least. Oh well, perhaps the kids didn't know the difference.
Sonia Reyes, Gramercy Park, NYC

Excellent family show ! Had a wonderful time.

That was great concert. Very creative combination of music and puppet show. We really enjoyed it. I would come again with my grandchildren. Thank you.

There was a big blurb about Roni Gal-Ed on the description, so I was expecting to hear her play oboe and was disappointed. ("Roni Gal-Ed was the Principal Oboist of the Bavarian Chamber Orchestra, Israeli Opera, and Associate Principal with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Bremen Kammerphilharmonie, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, St. Lukes Chamber Ensemble. Currently she is a member of the American Ballet Theater Orchestra. The Jerusalem Post lauded her for being “One of the finest oboe players in the country.”) The musicians were excellent. Difficult to see some of the puppetry from the extreme left side of the auditorium. My daughter fell asleep during L'Histoire.
