Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. If you are classical music afficionado, you can spend whole day in New York going from one free classical concert to another. If you love theater, then New York gives you an option to attend plays and musicals free of charge, or at deep discount. You just need to have information about it. During these limited hours, visitors can explore the normally closed sanctuary at their own pace along the rustic trail. See how the conservancy has restored this native woodland garden for birds and other wildlife. The wood-chipped trail is uneven; please wear appropriate shoes. Opening Reception | Watercolor Works: Eva Lundsager's Other Night Other Light


The 20 works on paper exist in an ambiguous state between representational and abstract landscapes, eluding categorization and engaging a world in flux. A recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship in painting, Lundsager has exhibited her art for more than two decades, including multiple solo shows in New York at the Greenberg Van Doren and Jack Tilton galleries. Lundsager’s work is in the permanent collections of the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, and the St. Louis Art Museum, and has been featured in Art in America, Artforum, Bomb, The Brooklyn Rail, The New York Times, The Village Voice, among others. In 2009 Regency Arts Press published “Ascendosphere,” a book of Lundsager’s watercolors.

Author Reading | Writers Read: Sean Wilsey / Danny Meyer


Sean Wilsey is the author of a memoir, Oh the Glory of It All, which the New York Times hailed as a “funny-tender-raucous epic of a memoir.” In July he published More Curious, a collection of essays and journalism which includes a profile of the restaurateur Danny Meyer. He is at work on another memoir, I Am in Love, about, among other things, his experiences as an apprentice gondolier in Venice, Italy. For many years he was the editor-at-large for McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, and on the staff of the New Yorker magazine. Wilsey was born in San Francisco, in 1970, and lives in Marfa, Texas. Danny Meyer is the CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group, which includes Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, Blue Smoke, Jazz Standard, Shake Shack, The Modern, Maialino, Untitled, North End Grill, Union Square Events, and Hospitality Quotient, a learning and consulting business. Danny, his restaurants and chefs have earned an unprecedented 25 James Beard Awards.
