My concern is with the body, with creating mood. Clothes always seemed like a needless complication - and I know nothing about fashion. Somewhere along the way, though, I discovered that clothing, or more simply fabric, can have its own body and mood. It can cover, and it can interact."

The paintings evoke the phantasmagoric worlds of Bruegel, but his scenes address the contemporary world.
