Discussion | Photographer, Dancer, & Writer Discuss the Intersection of Ballet & Image-Making

Attend an intimate and thought-provoking discussion bringing together renowned dance photographer Gene Schiavone, dancer and actor Kylie Edwards, and acclaimed dance writer Gavin Larsen for a nuanced exploration of movement and imagery. The relationship between a dancer and a photographer is a symbiotic one; a melding of art and movement, rhythm and emotion. Through the lens of ballet and image-making, the conversation will examine how collaboration, trust and technique shape both the final body of work and the dancer's sense of identity. Drawing from Schiavone and Larsen's recent photography book, Infinite Steps: Thirty-Three Dancers and Their Lives in Ballet, the discussion offers a compelling look at how photography can influence a dancer's understanding of their own artistry.

Dance Performance | Post-Revolution American Social Dances: Presentation & Demonstration

Julia Bengtsson from New York Baroque Dance Company leads a special presentation along with live violin accompaniment to teach about the social dances that were danced by the American people in the years following the Revolutionary War. Opening Reception | Living in Sanctuary: Solo Photography Exhibition on Undocumented Immigrants & Refugees in the USA

Experience the Living in Sanctuary exhibition from photographer Cinthya Santos Briones. The exhibition presents documentary photographs tracing the lives of undocumented immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees in the United States who have sought refuge within churches, temples, and faith communities. Her photographs follow people of diverse ages and cultural backgrounds as they navigate lives shaped by legal precarity and prolonged confinement. The images hold both the weight of that constraint and the persistence of daily life. Within these spaces, time does not stop. The environments themselves are central to the artwork. Churches and temples, reconfigured as living quarters, become sites where spiritual architecture meets the practical demands of habitation. At the intersection of faith and policy, Living in Sanctuary considers sanctuary not only as a form of protection, but as an ongoing act of resistance. The exhibition reflects on the conditions that make such spaces necessary, while attending to the lives sustained within them.

Performance | INSTINCT & EXTINCT + OFRENDA: 2 Multidisciplinary Performance Pieces

INSTINCT & EXTINCT is an avant-garde music piece solo-performed. It explores America's current endangered species. The artist infuses field recordings, ambient soundscapes, and operatic elements to tell the story of critically imperiled animals from their own perspective. A call to action in the face of new legislation reducing the critical habitat protections of these animals. Writer, producer, and performer: Dominique Francis Grogan. Bat Recordings and Sound Production: Ben Kinsley. Ofrenda is a multidisciplinary performance that lives at the intersection of art, ecology, spirituality, memory, and migration. Created and performed by Argentine artist Natalia Martinez Sagan, the piece brings together live interpretations of beloved Argentine folklore songs through singing and dance, alongside storytelling, ritual, and a hand-crafted costume inspired by her cultural lineages. Performed primarily in Spanish - Natalia's first language and the second most spoken language in New York City and the United States - the piece is deeply informed by her early immersion in Argentine folklore music and dance, and by her mixed cultural lineages, including Polish, Spanish, and Indigenous ancestry from South America. Creator, Performer, Costume Designer, and Producer: Natalia Martinez Sagan

Play | Shakespeare's Julius Caesar Live in the Park

The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, directed by Stephen Burdman, is presented outdoors in a free, open-air production. As alliances fracture and public tensions rise, Shakespeare's exploration of power, persuasion, and responsibility unfolds with striking contemporary relevance. Play | Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet: Broadway & Film Actors in a Timeless Tale of Starcrossed Lovers

Never was there a story of more woe, or more romance, than the Bard's timeless tale of two young lovers from warring families. As the Montagues and Capulets are torn apart by ideology and simmering violence spills into the streets of the border town of Verona, Romeo and Juliet dare to defy a world determined to keep them apart. In this bold new staging, the play unfolds in English, but Romeo and Juliet speak to one another in Spanish, a language reserved only for their shared world. Don't miss this thrilling new production, essential viewing for lovers of Shakespeare, theater, and the enduring power of love itself. Written by William Shakespeare Directed by Saheem Ali Cast: Ra'Mya Latiah Aikens, Sergio Mauritz Ang (TV: Crutch, Law & Order: SVU), Daniel Bravo Hernandez (Broadway: Romeo + Juliet), Reece dos Santos, Caleb Joshua Eberhardt (Broadway: An Enemy of the People, Choir Boy), Glenn Fleshler (Broadway: Good Night, and Good Luck, Death of a Salesman, Arcadia, Guys and Dolls, Spring Awakening; Film: Joker, A Most Violent Year; TV: Billions, Barry, True Detective, Boardwalk Empire), Francis Jue (Tony, Outer Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel, and Obie Awards for Yellow Face)
