Company SJ was formed in 2009 by Artistic Director Sarah Jane Scaife, who has been exploring new ways of looking at Irish texts for many years. Scaife's production of Samuel Beckett's Act Without Words II premiered to critical acclaim in 2009 as part of Dublin, Ireland's Absolut Fringe Festival. Re-presented at the 2010 Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival, it was also invited with Culture Ireland support to two major London festivals in 2011 - Greenwich & Docklands and Imagine Watford.
This production features leading Irish actors Raymond Keane (Director of Barabbas Theatre Company) and Bryan Burroughs (2009 winner Best Supporting Actor: Irish Times Theatre Awards) and is designed by Ireland's most inspired and sought-after designer, Aedin Cosgrove (Irish Times Theatre Award winner for design 2010 and 2011).
