Concert | Piano Works by Bartok, Beethoven, Lizst, Ligeti

Gábor Csalog performs a playful experiment of dialogs through music. This interpreter of choice for György Kurtág and the late György Ligeti will pair Beethoven with Bartók, then Liszt with Ligeti, to investigate the origins of modernist and postmodernist classical music in two forerunners and two masters of the genre. Mind music is on the menu, but the pieces are also visceral and immediate, propelled by Csalog's rarely matched economical intensity in his playing.
