You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Festival | 20th Annual Lower East Side Festival of the Arts


The festival occurs in two of the venue's four theaters. Simultaneous performances begin at 6 pm until 1 in the am, in both venues. In addition, the festival has an outdoor component, all day Saturday May 23rd, there will be performances by poets, actors, dancers, musicians, and much food by local merchants. The entire festival is free to the public. The only things that are for sale are the diverse foods offered on Saturday.

Concert | Galina Ustvolskaya’s Piano Sonata No. 6, Perfomed by Cheryl Seltzer of Continuum Ensemble


Composed in 1988, Piano Sonata No. 6 is one of Galina Ustvolskaya’s most challenging compositions. The score consists largely of tone clusters and demands the performer aggressively strike the instrument, thereby speaking to the turbulence and violence at the end of the Soviet era.
