Tour | Greenwich Village Neighborhood Tour

Greenwich Village is among Manhattan's most desirable and expensive residential neighborhoods. It's history, however, betrays it's monied status. The Village, with it's quiet, shaded streets, lined with lovely brick and brownstone townhouses, was once the incubating ground of artistic, social and political movements that have helped shape US history. From the Beats to the Folk Movement, from workers rights to gay rights, the Village has often been the center of it all. Tours are Mondays and Fridays at 2pm, and Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10am.

Play | Hudson Warehouse presents Shakespeare's Othello

Shakespeare's tragedy, believed to have been written in 1603. It is based on the story "A Moorish Captain" by Cinthio, first published in 1565. This tightly constructed work revolves around four central characters: Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army; his beloved wife, Desdemona; his loyal lieutenant, Cassio; and his trusted but ultimately unfaithful ensign, Iago. Given its varied and enduring themes of racism, love, jealousy, betrayal, revenge and repentance, Othello is still often performed in professional and community theatre alike, and has been the source for numerous operatic, film, and literary adaptations. Tony-winning director Daniel Sullivan returns with one of the Bard’s most rarely produced plays, Troilus and Cressida. Both warriors and lovers play hard to get in this surprisingly modern epic about the hot blood, hot thoughts and hot deeds of the ancient Greeks. In the 7th year of the Trojan War, Troilus, a young prince, pines for the affections of Cressida, a bright young woman who knows how to play it cool. Meanwhile, the heroes of the Iliad – Ajax, Ulysses, Achilles and the kings they serve - debate whether to return the dangerously beautiful captive Helen or continue to fight without end. Party | Party: House of Phat Beats

Broadcasting out of The University of Texas at Austin (KVRX 91.7FM), DJs Lil Tiger (Otilio Jacobs) and Koolaid (Kari Orr) began the hip hop radio show House of Phat Beats in 1994. Modeled loosely after legendary '90s-era shows like The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show in NYC and The Wake Up Show in LA, the award-winning Texas radio show ran for five years and became a hub for local and national acts to network and promote their music. House of Phat Beats, along with its sister show, The Dolla Holla Show (KO.OP Radio), featured DJ sets, freestyles, battles, underground hip hop of the era, and guest appearances from Freestyle Fellowship, Souls of Mischief, MC Ren, Artifacts, Mystik Journeymen, 5th Platoon, Style Elements and more. A time-capsule collection of these moments are on display in our Gallery Annex beginning on July 1st. DJ Lil Tiger, along with some O.G. friends of House of Phat Beats, spin every Friday night this month in Lobby.
