Working mainly in the field of sculpture, Bove has been making sculptural installations that range from small-scale, intimate arrangements of objects to monumental outdoors artworks. In the early 2000s, Bove made a series of wall-mounted shelves, which contained disparate elements, such as used books, vintage magazines, vernacular sculptures, and found objects. Alongside these intimate installations, Bove has recently been working on larger compositions which often take over the entire exhibition space, turning the gallery into a landscape or a vitrine. For the project, Bove continues her research on the role and function of art in the public space, by creating seven new sculptures which are installed within the self-seeded landscape. Bove’s site-specific installation highlights the uniqueness of its location and opens a magical environment for viewers. Installed along a 300-yard stretch of the untouched terrain, Bove’s sculptures reveal themselves among the unruly vegetation, like mysteriously pristine ruins of a lost civilization or a contemporary version of a Zen garden. Tour times: 10 AM, 11 AM, 12PM, 2PM, 3PM.

Known as America's first suburb, Brooklyn Heights is truly a gem. Travel and Leisure named it one of America's top 10 most beautiful neighborhoods, and its beauty is rivaled only by its place in American history. These quaint, tree-lined streets have been the sites of Revolutionary War battles, abolitionist activism and have inspired numerous novelists. Visit a stop on the Underground Railroad, or the home of Truman Capote, where he penned Breakfast at Tiffany's and where Jackie Robinson signed with the Dodgers.

Time to learn about the other New York City; the city that nurtured political, cultural and intellectual revolutions. The city that gave birth to punk rock, the beat poets and graffiti. The city that has survived two centuries of mass riots, crime and corruption, murder and mayhem. The city that has flourished in spite of economic and social hardship.

It is here, as much as anywhere, where American history started. It's where the first US Congress assembled and produced the Bill of Rights and where President George Washington took his first oath of office. It's here where the world's most important stock exchange and one of the most famous bridges stand. And it is here where an unspeakable tragedy took place and where a rebirth is underway.

Champions of great American music for more than 20 years, Opus Two violin-piano duo presents a multimedia program of the inimitable works of George Gershwin (1898-1937), one of America’s most popular and iconic composers. Violinist William Terwilliger and pianist Andrew Cooperstock will explore Gershwin's many musical styles, from the jazz influenced An American in Paris to the quintessential folk opera Porgy and Bess. They will also perform classic Gershwin songs of the Broadway stage, including "I Got Rhythm," "Embraceable You," and "But Not for Me”—in colorful and virtuosic transcriptions by legendary violinist Jascha Heifetz along with brand-new Opus Two commissions by esteemed Broadway music director Eric Stern. Projected images by African-American period photographer Richard Samuel Roberts and entertaining video clips of Judy Garland and Gene Kelly will round out the program.
